An Optometrist (AOA approved definition)
A Doctor of Optometry is specifically educated, trained and state licensed to examine the eyes and related structures to determine the presence of vision problems, eye diseases or other abnormalities.
The doctor prescribes lenses, contact lenses, or other optical aids and utilizes vision training to preserve, restore and enhance vision efficiency.
Dr. Cristina Polizzi

Dr. Cristina Polizzi-Woods graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007. She attended and graduated from University of Houston College of Optometry in 2014. While attending optometry school, she participated in research projects pertaining to dry eye syndrome and even presented a poster at the American Academy of Optometry meeting. After graduation, she was lucky to work alongside her father for a few years prior to his passing. Dr. Cristina Polizzi fits soft and hard contact lenses, is medically trained and can treat over a variety of diseases. In her free time, she volunteers at the Last Hope Animal Rescue taking care of kitties and loves doing yoga.
Dr. Elena Rosen

Dr. Elena Rosen is a graduate of SUNY Binghamton and holds her doctorate from State University of New York, College of Optometry. She specializes in hard to fit contact lenses, comprehensive eye care, and treating eye disorders. She enjoys the mix between fashion and medicine that this industry provides, and welcomes new patients. Besides all things optical, her other passion is travel, and she loves to trek around the globe with her family.
Diane Schwalbe
In October of 1977, Diane began working for Dr. Sebastian Polizzi at Eye and Vision Care Associates. Throughout the years she has worn every hat. Starting as the receptionist, technician, and so on to today where she is the practice manager. She has been an invaluable asset to the office for over 40 years! And while Diane has expertise in almost every area of the optical field, she especially loves talking with and helping patients new and old. When she is not here at the office she loves spending time with her family and grandson.
