Glaucoma Eye Care Syosset

Do you have symptoms of dry eyes? Gritty eyes? Teary or watery eyes? Burning sensation? Red eyes?

Do you feel like you put in artificial tears, but your eyes do not feel any different?

Eye and Vision Care has bought a new piece of equipment that has shown to improve dry eye symptoms after one application. Dry eye is a chronic disease that can effect anyone. The symptoms can vary from person to person and day to day. The most common form of dry eyes is even though your eyes are making tears, the oil, that prevents the tears from evaporating too quickly, is not being produced. There are multiple glands in your eyelids that produce the oil. These glands are the same ones that can get inflamed, in cases such as styes/hordeolums.

The TearCare is a non-invasive open-eye in-office procedure that applies heat to the eyelids targeting the glands. Afterwards, the doctor will manually clear the lids of meibum, so a reset of the glands can occur. The whole procedure takes a half hour, but can have lasting effects for close to 6 months.

We advise patients to make an appointment with your eye doctor to see if TearCare is right for you.
